In a workshop in Campo Grande, three trailers were built as part of the “Meu Negócio, Meu Sucesso – Food Truck: Meu Negócio Sobre Rodas” promotion by Massa FM and Sebrae/MS, aimed at encouraging local entrepreneurship.

The trailers were prepared for the winners in Campo Grande, Dourados, and Três Lagoas, providing a structure for food businesses.

Each vehicle was built from scratch, starting with chassis assembly and structural preparation. MH Trailers, a company with about 15 years in the sector, customizes each project based on the entrepreneur’s needs.

According to Wellington Felipe Freitas da Silva, the company’s founder Maurício Heling initially intended to sell a vehicle for snack sales, but the business did not materialize. “Acabou que não deu certo a venda de lanche. E começou a vender o trailer. Foi tendo muito pedido, vendeu rápido e vieram vários pedidos,” he said.

The production of the three trailers followed a standardized model: 3.2 m long, with stainless‑steel benches, space for a refrigerator and freezer, and a structure ready for food production and sales. “São todos iguais. É um modelo 3×2, com as bancadas de inox, espaço de geladeira, freezer, chapa. Fizemos todos padrão, iguais e com a melhor qualidade,” Wellington explained.

Each trailer took approximately 10 to 12 days to complete, a faster process thanks to the similar specifications. The company typically produces three to five units per month and also handles renovations and other projects.

The promotion required participants to submit a one‑minute video explaining why they deserved the food truck, highlighting originality, passion, and business potential. After a pre‑selection and public voting, a committee chose the winners, who received a fully equipped and personalized food truck in a special ceremony.

The three trailers are now ready to launch new businesses on wheels across Mato Grosso do Sul, turning ideas into income.
